Opportunity:  CAPS/Harris Poll Postdoctoral Fellow, Harvard University

Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University seeks applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow for the 2024-2025 academic year. This is a 1-year position. The preferred start date is 7/1/2024. The salary is $68,500, with up to an additional $2500 in research funding available. This position is benefits eligible.
The postdoctoral fellow will work under the supervision of Professors Ryan Enos and Stephen Ansolabehere and will devote 25% of their time to helping to manage the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll, a weekly nationally representative survey, and other CAPS research initiatives. They will also spend 25% of their time on joint projects with Professors Enos and Ansolabehere. The remainder of the fellow’s time will be devoted to their own research.

Opportunity:  Fellowships, Belgian American Educational Foundation 2025-2026
Deadline: October 31, 2025

The Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF) encourages applications for fellowships
for advanced study or research during the academic year 2025-2026, at a Belgian university, a
Belgian institution of higher learning, or Belgian research institution.

The BAEF will award up to fourteen fellowships as outright non-renewable grants carrying a
personal stipend of

  • $ 30,000 for Master’s or Ph.D. students
  • $ 34,000 for Postdoctoral Fellows.

Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States and fulfill one of the
following conditions:

  • Plan to register for study at a Belgian graduate program: Master’s, Ph.D., or equivalent
  • professional degree while holding the BAEF fellowship.
  • Be a registered student in a Master’s, Ph.D., or equivalent degree program in the United
  • States at the time of application and plan applicable research in Belgium.
  • Hold a Master’s, Ph.D., or equivalent degree and plan research in Belgium.

Postdoctoral applicants should by July 1, 2025, have no more than 2 years of research experience since obtaining their Ph.D. degree.

Opportunity:  two grant opportunities, Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa

The Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa (ASMEA) is offering two grant opportunities in conjunction with its Seventeenth Annual Conference taking place in Washington, D.C. on November 2 - 4, 2024.

The ASMEA Research Grant Program seeks to support research on topics in Middle Eastern and African studies that deserve greater attention. Applicants may submit paper proposals on any topic as long as it constitutes new and original research and is relevant to the five qualifying topic areas:

  • Minorities and Women
  • Military History
  • Governance and Economy
  • Faith
  • Iran

Grants of $2500 will be awarded. Successful research grant applicants are required to present their research at the Seventeenth Annual ASMEA Conference.

The Center for Advanced Study of India at University of Pennsylvania is looking to fill two Postdoctoral Research Fellowship positions.  This position is open to applicants from the humanities and social sciences whose work focuses on contemporary India. The position may be renewable for up to one additional year conditional on performance and budgetary approval. The fellowship will provide candidates with opportunities to pursue their own research and ideally to also collaborate on research projects undertaken by the Center. There is no teaching requirement.
