This research assistant will collect various type of qualitative and quantitative data for a project on global attitudes about climate change. A primary task will be to develop and implement a system for coding news articles concerning climate change. The research assistant may also be responsible for other tasks that arise, such as gathering information about oil and gas firms or classifying open-ended responses to survey questions about climate change.
This position is just right for someone who is interested in global environmental politics, has excellent attention to detail, is highly dependable, and is comfortable working independently. In addition, the ideal candidate would have taken courses in political science, international relations, or related fields. The position will require that you commit to at least 10 hours of work per week for at least two months.
