Bio:
Tylir Fowler is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science. His research interests include democratic erosion, economic nationalism, party competition, and populism. He is especially interested in how antidemocratic political elites use economic, cultural, and nationalist policies to rise to power and maintain it, while eroding democratic institutions and civil liberties. For his undergraduate studies, Tylir attended Temple University where he received a B.A. in Economics.
