Bio:

Professor Calabresi served as a Law Clerk to Justice Antonin Scalia of the United States Supreme Court, and he also clerked for U.S. Court of Appeals Judges Robert H. Bork and Ralph K. Winter.  From 1985 to 1990, he served in the Reagan and first Bush Administrations working both in the West Wing of the Reagan White House and before that in the U.S. Department of Justice. In 1982, Professor Calabresi co-founded The Federalist Society for Law & Public Policy Studies, a national organization of conservative and libertarian lawyers and law students, and he currently serves as the Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors – a position he has held since 1986. 

He has published more than sixty articles and comments in every prominent law review in the country.  He is the author with Christopher S. Yoo of The Unitary Executive:  Presidential Power from Washington to Bush (Yale University Press 2008); and he is also a co-author with Professors Michael McConnell, Michael Stokes Paulsen, and Samuel Bray of The Constitution of the United States (2nd ed. Foundation Press 2013), a constitutional law casebook. Professor Calabresi has taught Constitutional Law I and II; Federal Jurisdiction; Comparative Law; Comparative Constitutional Law; Administrative Law; Antitrust; a seminar on Privatization; and several other seminars on topics in constitutional law.
