Paul Lendway
Bio:
Paul Lendway is a Ph.D. candidate in political science at Yale University studying inequality, populism, and social movements. His first dissertation paper (R&R at Political Behavior) posits and tests a theoretical framework for how populist appeals increase mass support for democratic erosion. His second dissertation paper (R&R at Political Behavior) develops and tests a theoretical framework for the role that sermon rhetoric plays in reinforcing the alignment between White evangelicals and the Republican Party. His research has been published at American Politics Research, Environmental Politics, and the Yale Journal of International Affairs. He has presented his research at a wide range of organizations, including the American Political Science Association, Harvard University, Princeton University, and Yale University.
