Bio:
Ekin is a PhD candidate interested broadly in religion, the welfare state, and clientelism. Her dissertation project focuses on brokers and non-state welfare provision in Turkey. Some of her other interests include economic content in religious sermons, comparative social policy in Europe, and developing new treatments for emotion induction in survey research. Prior to joining Yale, she received her B.A degree in economics from the University of Chicago.
