Ekin Dursun is a first-year Political Science PhD interested broadly in economic voting and the political geography of the state. She seeks to understand the relationship between economic decline and political behavior, particularly in partial democracies. Ekin is also interested in studying the role of state capacity in shaping narratives of national identity, in the areas of law, education, and investment. Prior to joining Yale, she received her B.A degree in economics from the University of Chicago.
