Bio:
Ekin is a Ph.D. candidate interested broadly in the welfare state, clientelism, and religion. Her dissertation project focuses on poor voters and “the religious welfare state” in Turkey. Her other research interests include analyzing economic content in religious sermons, examining social policy preferences in the United States, and advancing survey methodology across both online and offline settings. Prior to joining Yale, she received her B.A degree in economics from the University of Chicago.
