Ekin Dursun is a third-year Political Science PhD interested broadly in religion and politics. She studies how the interaction between economic decline and state’s control of religion shapes political behavior at the individual level, particularly in electoral autocracies. Ekin is also interested in studying the microfoundations of the historical persistence of support for political Islam. Prior to joining Yale, she received her B.A degree in economics from the University of Chicago.
