Alissa Ardito
Bio:
Alissa Ardito is a visiting fellow at the MacMillan Center. She is the author of Machiavelli and the Modern State, forthcoming from Cambridge University Press.
Her research covers the history of political thought including the rise of the modern state, the history of republicanism, as well as property, administrative, and constitutional law.
She has been a visiting professor at Duke University, a fellow at Monticello’s International Center for Jefferson Studies, and a visiting scholar at the American Academy in Rome. She has also worked as an executive branch honors attorney. She holds a Ph.D. from Yale University and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
