Assistant Professor Daniel Mattingly is the recipient of the 2023 Luebbert Best Article Award for his article “How the Party Commands the Gun: The Foreign-Domestic Threat Dilemma in China”, published October 21, 2022 in the American Journal of Political Science.
The Luebbert Article Award is given for the best article in the field of comparative politics published in the previous two years.
