Event description:

The MacMillan Comparative Politics Workshop presents Sam van Noort, University of Cambridge:  “Industrialization and Democracy: IV Evidence from Cross-Country Differences in Coal Resources”

The Comparative Politics Workshop is a forum for the presentation of new research in comparative politics by invited scholars and internal speakers from the Yale Political Science Department. We aim to discuss and provide constructive feedback for works in progress. The workshop is committed to showcasing research representing a diverse set of methodological approaches, substantial topics, and regions.

Authors provide a 30-40 minute presentation of their work, which is followed by a question and answer session. Manuscripts are distributed one week prior to the workshop and are read in advance by attendees.

The workshop coordinators for the Fall 2020 workshop are Didac Queralt, Daniel Mattingly and Colin Moreshead.
