Bio:
Shahana studies elections, political parties and voters. Specifically, she is interested in understanding how new communication technologies are affecting the behavior of political parties and of voters in India. She is also working on a cross-national project on party behavior and voter behavior in referendums. Previously, she was a policy researcher in the areas of urban governance and public finance in India.
