The Jackson School of Global Affairs presents a day long conference with Keynote speaker Amb. Mohamed Omar Gad, Permanent Representative of Egypt to the African Union and Chairperson of the Peace and Security Council of the AU for October 2024

“Peace & Security on the African Continent: What Does the Future Hold?”

In honor of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the African Union Peace and Security Council (AU PSC) and on the eve of the AU PSC biannual consultations with the UN Security Council, the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs’ Blue Center for Global Strategic Assessment and Peacebuilding Initiative will co-host all 15 members of the AU Peace and Security Council along with the AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, and the AU Permanent Observer to the United Nations.

The day-long conference is open to the Yale community. Advance registration is required.
