Milan Svolik, Elizabeth S. & A. Varick Stout Professor of Political Science at Yale University will receive a $200,000 fellowship from the Carnegie Corporation to support his work on political polarization
The Andrew Carnegie Fellowship Program will help to fund Svolik’s project, “America’s Contested Democratic Creed.” The project will look at and develop “credible, prospective, and scalable survey measures of commitment to democracy among the public”. The hope is that the tools developed will assist in determining who would put democracy over partisan interests.
