Event description:

The Yale School of Management and the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale present:

Yale Podcast and Audio Conference.

Once a technological curiosity, podcasting has grown to become a robust and exciting creative ecosystem with shows like S-Town, Ear Hustle, Where Should We Begin?, WTF with Marc Maron,  Revisionist History, The Daily, 2 Dope Queens, and Welcome to Night Vale.

Over the past few years, podcast listening in America has risen tremendously. In 2018, 73 million Americans listen to podcasts regularly, an increase of 73% from 2014. As the audience grows, so does the once-nascent industry. Podcast advertising brought in over $220 million in 2017, up a stunning 85% from 2016.

Compared to the $22 billion radio industry, these numbers might seem small.  But the podcast industry is rapidly growing, and the sky is the limit.
