The Yale Program in the History of the Book presents:

Tiffany Stern, Professor of Shakespeare and Early Modern Literature, Royal Holloway, University of London: “Playing Songs and Singing Plays: Ballads and Plays in the Time of Shakespeare.”

To foster discussion across the many related fields practicing book history, the Yale Program in the History of the Book is organized around two events with each speaker: a public lecture and, on the following day, a seminar discussion centering on our guests’ work in progress. We also hold an annual symposium in the fall semester.

Papers are pre-circulated in the week preceding the seminar. To be added to the seminar list, please contact Eve Houghton (eve.houghton@yale.edu) or Andrew Brown (andrew.s.brown@yale.edu).
