The Yale Center for Research Computing presents
“Stata Virtual Lunch and Learn: Data Management.”
This will be a continuation of Data Management I - a demonstration of how to use many of Stata’s data management commands to clean a dataset. It includes topics such as importing data from the internet, appending and merging files, using frames to work with multiple datasets simultaneously, how to reshape data from “long” format to “wide” and vice-versa, how to use contract and collapse to create summary data, how to use egen to create new variables, and how to use -by- and -if- to work with subsets of your data.
This talk will be delivered by Stata’s Director of Statistical Outreach, Dr. Chuck Huber
