The Yale Center for British Art 2023 Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Annual Lecture presents

Dr. Jennifer L. Eberhardt, Professor, Department of Psychology Stanford University: 

“Biased World: Psychological Science in the Service of Justice”

The 2023 Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Annual Lecture has been generously endowed by Daniel and Joanna S. Rose on behalf of Henry Louis “Skip” Gates, Jr. Among his many illustrious distinctions, Professor Gates, is a Yale graduate and former classmate of Daniel Rose, and a former faculty member in our department.

Join us for a celebration of the contributions of Dr. Jennifer L. Eberhardt and a discussion of the ways the psychological science of bias influences our lives, our policy, and the structures of society.

This year Phillip Atiba Goff, Chair and Carl I. Hovland Professor of African American Studies and Professor of Psychology, added a panelist discussion with speakers, Jennifer Richeson, Philip R. Allen Professor of Psychology, Tracey Mears, Walton Hale Hamilton Professor of Law, and Co-founder of the Justice Collaboratory, Tom Tyler, Macklin Fleming Professor of Law and Professor of the Institute for Social and Policy Studies, and of Psychology, co-founder of the  justice Collaboratory and himself.
