“Gota, Majalis and Panchayat: Re-thinking Histories of Rights in Pre-colonial Maharashtra.”

Polly O’Hanlon’s fields of interest include the social and intellectual history of early modern and colonial India, histories of gender and the body, and the history of Maharashtra. She is at present working on scribal practices and cultures of rights in the eighteenth century Maratha state.
