The Office of Public Affairs and Communications and the Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy at Yale Law School present:
“Beyond COVID-19: Governing the Next Pandemic.”
Law has been central to both the COVID-19 response thus far, and the intersection of legal and public health questions has only become more pressing. From ongoing domestic debates about the extent of government powers in a pandemic response to World Health Assembly discussions about a potential “pandemic treaty,” legal governance of infectious emergencies are central to the This event seeks to enumerate some of these active debates from a range of practitioners who have dealt with the law’s impact in Ebola, COVID-19, monkeypox, and beyond.
