This workshop focuses on acquiring and wrangling Census data using the tidycensus and tidyverse packages.
This workshop assumes experience and comfort with using R for data analytic work. If you are new to R, you should start with the “First Steps in R,” “Second Steps in R,” and “Manipulating Data in R using the Tidyverse” workshops.

This workshop covers:
- Background on the US Census, including survey methodology and data structure
- Using the tidycensus package to search for and download Census data
- Wrangling US Census data using tidyverse commands
