The Jackson School of Global Affairs Peacebuilding Initiative presents

Ifeoluwa Olawole, Director of Research, Peace and Governance, Mercy Corps, Washington, D.C., and Emmanuel Ogbudu, Mercy Corps Mali Country MEL Manager:

“Evidence in Peacebuilding: Bridging Research and Practice with Examples from Nigeria and Mali.”

Ifeoluwa Olawole and Emmanuel Ogbudu will — drawing from recently implemented programs in Nigeria and Mali — discuss how evidence from research on peacebuilding programs contributes to peacebuilding efforts in fragile and conflict-affected settings, influencing policy, and strategic directions in global programming.

This panel discussion will inform perspectives on specific peacebuilding approaches (including mediation, dialogue, and social cohesion) and research priorities from Mercy Corps Peace and Good Governance Evidence and Learning Agenda, which outlines key research priorities and questions needed to further our impact and influence related to the Peace and Good Governance outcomes.
