The Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and the Yale School of Music present: 

Peter Oundjian, Yale Philharmonia principal conductor and Tom Graham, Russia expert:  “Sounds of Bloody Sunday: A Conversation About Shostakovich and the Wounds of History.”  

The talk will include remarks by Oundjian and Graham followed by an audience Q&A session. Lunch is included. The event is free and open to the entire Yale community, but registration is required.

The discussion is a prelude to the Jan. 18 performance of Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 11, a powerful work that depicts tyranny and revolution.
