The Yale Program in Iranian Studies (YPIS) promotes the study of Iran, Afghanistan and the Persian cultural sphere, with emphasis on regional and international affairs, domestic political developments as well as history, religion, culture, and environment.

This YPIS panel discussion (online) brings experts and academics together to speak about the current state of the Iranian economy. The discussion provides an overview that balances attention to government policies and priorities, as well as the economic hardships ordinary Iranians are currently experiencing.
