“Nature Still Here: Brazilian Experimental Cinema, Media and Ecologies.”
Beyond the narrative successes of Brazilian cinema, this lecture aims to explore the relationship between Brazilian experimental cinema and nature. From Mário Peixoto’s Limite to the new generation of filmmakers and video artists, Brazilian experimental cinema will be examined through the lens of ecological concerns, as well as the concept of media as ecology.
