The Council on African Studies presents:

Veronica Waweru, CAS Lecturer:  “Social Dimensions of Origns Research: Fieldwork, Archaeology and Evolution meet the Village.”

Every summer, scientists from western nations camp in various field sites in Africa to carry out research related to human origins. Data obtained from Africa has significantly shaped what we know about human evolution. What do locals know or feel about the research products coming out of their fields and back yards?
Veronica Waweru, CAS Lecturer, discusses the ways her research on the Narok Paleanthropological Project IN Kenya seeks to create awareness and maintain contact with the local community.
