Assistant Professor Didac Queralt has been awarded the 2023 Best Book Award by the International Collaboration Section of APSA for his book Pawned States: State Building in the Era of International Finance.

This is the second award his book has received, the first being the APSA PE section 2023 William H. Riker Best Book Award.

From the International Collaboration Awards section…

“The International Collaboration (IC) Section of the American Political Science Association works to promote and disseminate research in and teaching of all facets of international collaboration and to encourage the interchange of ideas about international collaboration within the IC Section, and with our disciplines, practitioners, and interested persons.

As a Section, they define “International Collaboration” broadly as attempts by states and non-state actors (including international organizations and non-governmental organizations) to craft joint solutions to international challenges. “
