Justice David Wecht, Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice:

“Yale and Antisemitism.”

Justice Wecht will discuss the roots of antisemitism.  In addition, he will share reflections from his many years as a leader in the legal community fighting this oldest of hatreds, and he will also share his experiences as a Yale student during the Israel and Lebanon War.  Lastly, he will share experiences from his recent trip to Israel.  Please join us for an insightful lecture from this extremely distinguished speaker who has passionately and tirelessly fought against antisemitism and inspired many lawyers in Pennsylvania and around the country to rise up and follow his example.

Justice Wecht graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa in 1984 from Yale, where he earned Yale College Distinction in both history and political science.  At Yale Law School, Justice Wecht was selected as Notes Editor of The Yale Law Journal, and as Editor of both The Yale Law & Policy Review and The Yale Journal of International Law.  Justice Wecht has had a distinguished legal career starting as a Law Clerk to U.S. Circuit Judge George MacKinnon on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C.
