“Writing War: A Conversation .”
The conversation, moderated by Grand Strategy Co-Director Michael Brenes, will discuss the legacy of the forever wars, the future of US foreign policy, and the art of writing.
Klay’s writing has garnered praise from critics and readers alike. He is the recipient of the National Book Award, the National Book Critics’ Circle John Leonard Prize, and the George W. Hunt, S.J., Prize for Journalism, Arts & Letters. His first novel, Missionaries, appeared on the Wall Street Journal’s 10 Best Books of the Year list and former President Barack Obama’s list of best books of the year. Klay’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, and the Brookings Institution’s Brookings Essay series. He currently teaches fiction at Fairfield University.
