Bio:
Natalie Thompson is a PhD student in international relations with interests related to the political economy of security, the international politics and governance of cybersecurity and emerging technologies, and U.S. foreign policy and national security. In all of these areas, Natalie is especially interested in scholarly work that can inform sensible policymaking and connect communities of practice across sectors. Prior to beginning the PhD program at Yale, Natalie worked for the U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, conducting research and engaging with policymakers on issues related to federal and international cybersecurity policy and influence operations. She graduated summa cum laude from Kalamazoo College in 2019, where she studied mathematics and political science.
