Assistant Professor Elizabeth Nugent was awarded the Best Paper Award from the American Political Science Association’s Comparative Democratization section

Assistant Professor Elizabeth Nugent was awarded the Best Paper Award from the American Political Science Association’s Comparative Democratization section for “The Psychology of Repression and Polarization in Authoritarian Regimes,” presented at last year’s annual meeting.

Dr. Nugent’s dissertation, similarly titled The Political Psychology of Repression and Polarization in Authoritarian Regimes, received honorable mentions from the section for the Juan Linz Prize for Best Dissertation and Best Fieldwork Award.
