Benjamin Waldman ’20 of Branford College has been awarded a Beinecke Scholarship to support his pursuit of a Ph.D. in political science or history. He is one of only 18 college juniors nationwide to win this competitive award this year. Waldman’s research on the political development of American bureaucracy in the 19th and 20th centuries has been supported by the Dahl Research Scholars Fellowship, the Center for the Study of American Politics, and the Institution for Social and Policy Studies.

The Beinecke Scholarship was established in 1975 to support graduate education in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.

Congratulations Benjamin.
