Yale’s School of Management presents a Webinar.
“Do National Strategies of US and China for the High-Tech Industries Make Sense?”
Featuring Edward (Ted) Snyder, former Dean and Professor of Economics and Management at the Yale School of Management, in conversation with Logan Bender ‘19, technology investor.
Together, they will examine the objectives, tools, and outcomes of industrial policy in the high-tech sectors of China and the United States (U.S.).
What are China’s policies toward semiconductors, electric vehicles, robotics, software, human capital and AI? How does the U.S. approach these same challenges? What similarities and differences exist between the two countries’ strategies? How should development efforts be organized, and where can markets or governments contribute more effectively? These are among the questions Ted and Logan will explore during the event.
As always, participants are encouraged to share questions and comments via the Zoom chat, and we will address as many as possible during the Q&A session following the talk.
Registration is required to receive the ZOOM access link, which will be sent to your registered email address or phone number shortly. Please enter the Zoom room 15 minutes before the starting time. Once the Zoom room reaches full capacity, latecomers may be unable to join the event.
