Event description:

The William F. Buckley, Jr. Program at Yale University presents:

Jim DeMint, President of the Heritage Foundation, Former U.S. Senator from South Carolina: “Academic Censorship as a Political Weapon.”

Mr. DeMint is a former U.S. Senator and Congressman from South Carolina and he is currently the President of the Heritage Foundation.

Mr. DeMint was the leading sponsor of a bill seeking to balance the federal budget within ten years, a bill that was ultimately opposed by the Obama Administration.

Mr. DeMint is very articulate and firm in his beliefs and was a figure that many ‘Tea Party’ conservatives rallied behind.

The event will take place in LC 101 and will be a very  informative and worthwhile experience.  Mr. DeMint does not often speak at colleges, so we hope to see you at this unique event!
