The Council on Latin American & Iberian Studies presents

Michelle Arevalo-Carpenter, 2025 Yale World Fellow, social entrepreneur and co-founder of IMPAQTO:

“Reimagining Capital: How Latin America Is Shaping the Future of Impact Investing.”

Michelle Arevalo-Carpenter accompanied thousands of entrepreneurs across the Andean region who are redefining business as a force for good. Building on that experience, she later launched IMPAQTO Capital, an impact fund designed to bring proximate, flexible capital to frontier markets. In this talk, Michelle will explore how innovative finance models emerging from Latin America—from revenue-based investing to regenerative bioeconomy ventures—are expanding access to capital and offering fresh insights into what the future of impact investing could look like when rooted in place, equity, and the living world.
