Susan Stokes’ book Brokers, Voters and Clientelism: The Puzzle of Distributive Politics (Cambridge, 2013), has been selected as the recipient of the APSA’s Comparative Politics section’s Luebbert Prize for the best book of 2013 in comparative politics.

The committee, which consisted of Tom Pepinsky, Miriam Golden and Stephan Haggard, described the book – which Sue co-authored with Thad Dunning, Marcelo Nazareno and Valeria Brusco–as “a tour de force of theory, method and careful empirical research.”

Congratulations.
