The Spring 2014 North Africa Mini-Series screening : “The Silences of the Palace”.
Each film will be followed by a discussion with Youness Elbousty, Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, Yale University.
As she grows up, Alia (the daughter of housemaid Khedija) learns the secrets of the peaceful palace where she and her mother live.
